Crushed Autumn by Scott Grimando

Golden reds, leaves tread
And rain down upon my head
Joyous Autumn Falls

Autumn
~ Abhinabha ~
O season of ripe beauty, you I greet!
Whose heart is love's calm wisdom at its throbbing core;
Your deep hues and myriad colors make the soul's wings beat
And lift a lover like me to your ambrosial shore.
Through you Nature weeps its precious golden tears,
In you a mortal eye could glimpse its native Immortality,
O endless fount of inspiration to the poet-seers
To be bound by your embrace is to be truly free!
A glad earth bathes in your benign and lustrous smile
And man's heart thrills with an unknown rapture and delight
By your whispers and footfalls and flute-call beguiled,
An ancient kinship links him to your celestial height.
A brimming of golden sweetness in your dreaming eyes
Fills the world with the beauty of a realm divine,
The sun's last rays serenely trickle from your purple skies:
I send my love and song and call your blessings mine.

Said a blade of grass to an autumn leaf, “You make such a noise falling! You scatter all my winter dreams.”
Said the leaf indignant, “Low-born and low-dwelling! Songless, peevish thing! You live not in the upper air and you cannot tell the sound of singing.”
Then the autumn leaf lay down upon the earth and slept. And when spring came she waked again – and she was a blade of grass.
And when it was autumn and her winter sleep was upon her, and above her through all the air the leaves were falling, she muttered to herself, “O these autumn leaves! They make such a noise! They scatter all my winter dreams.”

Thanks, Darina.. I'm using the first one as my desktop background.
Nice!
J.K. - it is one of my favorite images as well.
The reflections and colors are just too good…
Thanks for sharing and keep musing,
Darina :)
Thanks Darina for the best desktop background I have ever had (the 4th one)
You are very much a serendipitous kind of person, although I doubt your taste in pictures and poetry is an accident.
Thank You Dave,
I do believe in serendipity, synchronicity and intentional attraction. And life is showing us quite often these days that we often if not always :) attract what we are, so I try to ponder and work on that with a smile… :) Your and J.K.'s desktops must be beautiful places to be, not to imagine the imagination of their owners… :)
